Hong Kong court convicts Cardinal Zen, 5 others over fund to help arrested protestors

This is a hard time for the Church, especially in regard to its leadership, but this isn't the first time and probably won't be the last; after all, our religion admits of the weakness of all men. As Catholics we believe that all authority is given by God and the Church itself, in the final analysis, is infallible (meaning God even permits evil in order to being about a greater good, and often this good is the chastening and humiliation of His Church in order to better conform its members to Himself). Actually the fact that the Church is basically always under assault by even her own members, and yet always survives, is a pretty good argument of her divine institution, IMO.

TLDR: I won't talk bad about the Pope but.. yeah. Hard times for traditional Catholics under the current leadership.
