We can control other units. It doesnt have to be so Wolf has 1 kit and Lamb has one. It's just micro managing that would be cool, you hold alt and right click to attack with wolf. Think of it like a permanent Tibbers.

They can even push it further to remove Lambs Respite to swap between their kits by using the ult a la Jayce and Nidalee style. Lambs kit can easily be much like the current Kindred but try to add in some tag team to it by making the current W give Wolf some support on the hunt like more movement speed and enhances some of his abilties, give him some form of slow to help Lamb kite. Her E makes her throw Wolf like usual but instead of dissapearing Wolf use this as an opportinity to get closer.

They should obviously not be able to be at 2 different places at once so they can have a separation anxiety which somewhat ties into their lore of being one being split in 2 so they cant leave a certain distance from eachother, Lamb being the dominant champion of the 2 (Not sexual wise, but being the champion you generally play as) should force Wolf to retreat back to her automatically if she runs too far away from him. (Note this doesnt mean if you chase after someone as Wolf and out run Lamb, then he can get a stacking slow or something until she has caught up to him again, this means that if Lamb does a 180 he will run back to her)
