Maybe if Texans believed in climate change and didn’t like they’re better than the rest of the country, they wouldn’t be in this situation. It’s literally just 6 inches of snow and lows in the teens, and the state is in a total free fall. Maybe if Texans built their power systems with climate change in mind and weren’t so egotistic to the point of thinking that the state can live off the nation’s grid, this clusterfuck wouldn’t happen. Also, since some form of snowfall is seeming to become an annual occurrence as a result of climate change, maybe its time to make a modest investment in some plows and salt. I get Texans aren’t used to this, no power with freezing temperatures sucks big time and is extremely dangerous, but most of the country doesn’t sympathize with you because you make stupid choices. If y’all elected better politicians and got your heads out of your own asses, this weather would be a minor inconvenience at worst.
