Jagex is, and has been raping RS3 with microtransactions and corresponding "events" for the past while. Non-stop no breaks. A constant pounding of MTX promos with no relief in sight. And all of this money seems to just be turning to dust. Most've the players have been waiting on the Mining and Smithing rework which has been in the works for a while (and has already been delayed once) but jagex have just announced a poll which might let them only release half of the update (leaving the content mostly fucked) and doing a second batch.

This batch option might sound ok in initial review but the first time that happened (release of the invention skill) the second batch never came out.... and then we've had the slayer skill extended from 99-120 with mention of a second patch to fill out the 92 MILLION EXPERIENCE added to the skill now. But all we got was a couple new monsters and the ability to catch monsters like pokemon or some shit (basically filler content) all in all, this just seems like a shitty poll to get jagex out of doing work. I love the company and I have been playing the game for 10 years. But somethings not happening correctly being the doors at Jagex HQ.

rant over. TLDR: RS3 is being raped by MTX and if/when RS3 collapses enough the microtransactions will likely leech over here to support the dying game/company.
