Hopefully this year belongs to Sony

The most common complaints with Sony are: bad camera, high pricing, poor marketing/lack of carrier options. Even if they released a phone with Pixel like quality, it is hard to come back from tarnished reputation. I can't think of any phone that was really terrible in the camera department and then recovered to become one of the best in recent years. High pricing - is just false perception - Sony typically is the lowest priced premium phone after 3 to 6 months of release. They are definitely not going to price it at OnePlus levels at release. One quick look at their other products like TVs, Cameras should tell you why. Sony is a lifestyle brand like Apple and Samsung. Nothing is going to change their low key/absent marketing or lack of carrier options in the US. Sony does not want exclusive retail presence in the US for any of their products either (no flagship stores like Apple and Samsung). They should rethink this.
