Hori announces replacement left joycon with improved D-pad

I'm personally not interested.

I mean, the idea is great, don't get me wrong, I would love a traditional style D-Pad, but I just have no problems whatsoever with the button layout they chose instead. Granted I'm playing D-Pad light games (well, game, but still) right now, so I guess I don't notice it as much, but the lack of battery in the controller puts me off big time.

I guess if I were to be able to design the "perfect" joycon, it'd be detachable, have a D-Pad, and under the D-Pad would be the directional buttons instead, kinda like their other controller?

But I digress.

I keep seeing "improvements" on the Switch, like this, or a battery extension, or even a kick stand option, and I just see no use for it personally. I think that while the console isn't "perfect" (there's no such thing, which is why I put it in quotes), all these improvements just seem unnecessary to me personally.
