Horizontal gear progression

Exactly this.

I just hate the class design as well, it looks like someone tried to push as much utility and healing crap into all classes as possible. I really dont feel like i want to play a game where each class has abilities of all kind, like engineer having a jump-dealing-warrior-like dash when he is wearing a ranged weapon WHAT FOR?! Why not give him some cool range-aoe ability? ...

It is like you have 8 abilities you could use and about 3-4 of them are total crap and you have crappy additional abilities coming from the class specifics.

This also kills the weapon balance on each class, for example i played warrior and i really dont know why should i ever consider playing something else than double-axe when it deals the best dps of them all, and double sword in comparison is absolute garbage in my point of view as well as mace, mace +shield and a horn or shield in general. I have no idea who is balancing it, but he is blind as fk that for sure.

1 class i liked to play was revenant but even this one sucks, because it has only 1 useful sets of weapon - double sword, all other are total garbage (for the power oriented build i dont give a flying duck about condition damage its boring and just sad and badly designed).

And to be fair, the Condition and Power stats doesnt help the builds diversity and gameplay diversity either. I would like to play one set of weapons in a power and it will be super garbage because the skills are designed to deal condition damage instead of just hitting hard. This is fucking stupid.

In other games you have the division between magical and physical damage, and each type has each stat that work with or there is 1 stat that increase the damage of both, its not the case in GW2. Condition damage is all "damage over time" and power is just straight away damage. If you choose to focus on condition damage, then your power abilities hits like a wet noodle and vice versa and every class has different effects on all abilities its a cluster fak. One ability scales with condition, one with power, another one has some of both and you cant use them all because you are limited by your own stats. And wait there is more, if you decide to go power build you want to get critical chance and critical damage high, and if your class or weapon you like has ability thats dealing DOT then you are screwed and you are less efficient in a result.

The power and condition damage stats just ruins the class balance and build diversity in my eyes, you want to play it and find out on your own so you could understand what i mean by that.
