Why would your university go remote if a sufficient number of students are vaccinated?

Same reason as why mandate masks when it’s much better to mandate the vaccine? Those in charge aren’t always known for making the logical decisions. For instance, my university did virtual commencement this spring and defended it by saying we don’t want to create a superspreader event, yet there were countless ways they could’ve made it happen (e.g. do several individual smaller commencements by department over the course of several days). Meanwhile literally every other university around here had an in-person commencement. This led many students at my university to suspect the admin is just being lazy, or worse - trying to save money. Idk, I guess after witnessing things like this over the course of the pandemic it’s just made me increasingly cynical.
