Hospitals charge huge 'trauma' fees to treat people with minor injuries

You’re not kidding about people with disabilities. I’m a single parent and sole guardian of a disabled adult and the amount of paperwork I have to do often is appalling. Some things I don’t fight for anymore because it’s exhausting, like certain medical supplies that are supposed to be covered by her insurance but every time I’ve tried to get it I’m given excuses for denials and more forms to fill out and I can’t handle the headaches anymore so I just pay for them out of pocket on my own. It’s very expensive but I’d rather deal with the loss of money than the stress of trying to get things covered.

And this post reminded me that I have an 18 page report I need to fill out and submit to the court this week for her guardianship.
