The Hosts of Chapo Traphouse Have Become Your Class Enemies [a marxist view]

This thread & the glowingly positive responses therein just seem to me to be coming from hard left proponents of Communism (even if not in pedantic ideological belief, per say, but in actionable resolve).. & as much as the fourteen year-old me would love to get on board with that shit, it just isn't the world we live in. The 20th century had a bit of a go but the world is ultimately too convoluted & interconnected to allow insular growth of any extreme political persuasion without it being incredibly susceptible to tyranny. We're never going to have a true worker's utopia at this point, just like the libertarian chuds will never have their free market utopia.

If we were starting at year 1, all things being equal, then yeah I bet things could actually be pretty prosperous in the way Marx imagined. But the thing op & so many positive replies seem to miss is realistic appraisal of context. Leftist ideology needs to actually hold some competitive value in the context of the world. I'm in favor of a Trojan horse approach if it's effective. Chapo is far from perfect but it's done a lot more to popularize the leftist cause than most "pure" endeavors in recent memory.
