Hot Take: The Angels and Blue Jays (and maybe the Twins) are the only serious contenders to sign Bauer

Are we really that likely? Unless Bauer signs for 30 mil AAV, we'll go over the luxury tax, which we all know Arte doesn't want to do. Plus Perry said that he wants to add two starters, so unless the second one is taking league minimum, I don't see how that will happen with Bauer.

Yeah Arte loves his flashy signings, but I just don't see how he is gonna splurge on Bauer after not even making a competitive offer on Cole just one year ago. There's also a big warning flag that there hasn't been any interest at all from us. Perry's other moves were pretty unexpected, but I'd imagine there would be at least some mention of it.

As of now, I'm not expecting a Bauer signing. If it happens great, but I'm not getting my hopes up.
