hot take: melting children = bad

And? I don't think this should be an argument whether they should have destroyed 400 000 innocent lives with a flamethrower or a shotgun. Of course horrible shit happened in WWII, and warcrimes were committed by virtually every nation (yes yes hyperbole). The point is that they used the most horrible weapon ever created to immediately delete two highly populated cities. Not a military camp, not some weapons storage, not an army. Not once, but twice. And yes, a thousand incendiary bombs is just as bad, and just as much a war crime.

And just to point it out, I'm not saying that you're defending it. All the comments defending the bombings just rubbed me the wrong way.
