The story also takes a side itself. I’ve seen a lot of these posts and staying neutral on genocide is just not really something ethically I can do even when watching a show. I AM rooting for the main characters that aren’t Eren right now. The nature of this show is that not everyone succeeds in their trials/efforts (think Oberyn Martell from GOT), so it won’t limit my enjoyment of the show if they are completely unsuccessful. In fact it would be a crushing blow, which in a way is powerful for the show to pull off. And in the end, part of me wants to see the complete destruction that Eren has the potential to effect right now - but am I rooting for him? No
