Hotel employees of Reddit, what do you do with a guest who is disruptive and/or violent?

Kick them out. How I go about doing that will differ depending on the situation.
  1. Disruptive behavior (slamming doors, yelling, loud music, ect). If they are children then I will notify their parents. I will give parents two to three warnings before kicking them out unless their children pulls a fire alarm (felony). If adults are causing the disruptive behavior then they only get one warning because drunk or not, they're ducking adults. When I have decided to kick a guest out of the hotel, I will tell them that they have one hour to leave the property or they will be charged with trespassing and escorted out by police.

  2. Violent behavior. If it's something that's simple, like a fight in the parking lot, then I lock the doors and call the police; they'll handle it. If it's violent behavior another guest has witnessed (but I didn't) and they want me to call the police, I go ahead and do so. If the police ask me if I saw anything, I tell them the truth. If a guest is being violent toward me, I comply with all their demands. Once they are back in their room, I call the police, explain to them that I will need help kicking the guest out, and wait for them to escort me to the room.
