Did I say that there was a reason for the poses in particular?

It is a flaw that is worth bringing up for sure but it's also a trope in Japanese media that goes back for decades and has been debated to death already.
Look at anime from the 80s and 90s. Is there a good reason Sailor Moon and all sorts of shōjo anime protagonists have to have their clothes disintegrate? No. Is there a good reason plugsuits in Evangelion are skin tight and show off every feature? No. Is this the one thing everyone talks about when discussing these works? No.

It could go on and on, a lot of media that contains questionable things (such as Evangelion) is still discussed in earnest because it tackles meaningful topics. My point is the game should not be reduced to it.
