House is doing it knowing it will get shot down. It's a political move to help motive poor folks to vote for the democrats. Though, I do believe it's also the DNCs goal to raise min wage, but I think their true goal isn't 15/hour. A few states, like Arizona, has found that raising min wage too high has been extremely detrimental to smaller businesses in smaller towns. Ideally we should have a flat min wage rate and a cost of living adjustment to that min wage. An example 10/hour, but places where the cost of living is much higher should get an increased % based on the cost of living. Federal government already does it with their pay grade system so we already have a COLA map made
