The House just voted to let internet providers sell your browsing history

I'm a premium internet user..

As a network engineer, I don't understand the context of this phrase. I am assuming you pay for Cable/Phone/TV as a premium package? This all has nothing to do with the relationship between you and your ISP and has EVERYTHING to do with your ISP and the profile that they build with your internet history that is now up for sale.

Think about how you get targeted ads on Facebook because you bought a shirt online. Except the ads are now to Big Business, Law Enforcement, Big Pharma, and Big Data who can now resell your profile to any smaller business and build on what trends or vacations you might take in the near future or further down the line.

Medical historical searches. Doctors can now sell you this great new drug! Ever google something questionable? Police might want to talk to you. Oh you browse 4Chan/Reddit without a VPN or proxy? Interesting, your search history might be bought by the local news network and doxxed as "the infamous hacker 4Chan."

With fast lanes Netflix pays the premium to your ISP and then has to raise their prices.

The examples above are just some hypothetical situations off the top of my head. Not saying they will happen, but are very likely possible.

This is bad. Really, really bad.
