The House voted to repeal Dodd-Frank Wall Street regulations today but you were probably watching something else

The Republican politicians are certainly taking some really bad and America-destructive actions.

I'm not the OP you responded to, but I do have some thoughts on the matter.

The problem I have is that politicians exist on both sides where they take several-thousand-dollar donations from the 1% and other corporations. It's just the norm in American politics, and it's destroying the country. Any politician taking donations needs to be ousted.

We hold too strongly to the notion of Republican or the notion of Democrat. It blinds us to our own parties. Right now, we as a nation are more caught up in which side is more "right" than the other. What we SHOULD be focusing on is protecting our nation's interests from the Russians and other foreign officials.

We need to get money out of politics. It corrupts BOTH sides.

Question your own party, whichever it is, at all times. Hold America as more important than your party. Because at the end of the day, we're not conservatives, we're not liberals, we're Americans.

And fuck everybody who wants to see America burn.
