HOW is 2 weeks in a Dublin hostel more expensive than a 2 week all inclusive holiday to the Carribbean?

Of course living there and being a tourist are different. Granted Zurich or Geneva are more expensive than Dublin but if you compare Luzern to like Killarney for hotel and Airbnb. I found them to be cheaper. Staying in an Airbnb I found food shopping in CO-OP or Migros to be on par with Dunnes or Tesco. I also found the Swiss Rail Pass to be economical given how much you end up using it (especially as it inc ferries and cable cars). I found train prices for individual tickets on par with Ireland and for much a better service. Can’t comment on cost of living for people living there but as a tourist I felt pricing was on par with Ireland and quality was always excellent. I think evening meals out were worse price difference & yeah fast-food was notably worse.
