can't second this enough. My dad's first cousin was a complete piece of garbage, convicted drug dealer, went to jail for years, the works. He terrorized my grandparents who lived next door (full time) to the extended family weekend/ summer home to the point where my grandparents claim their telephone line was wiretapped and the properties were being watch (2 houses together on a shared piece of land). Cousin pretty much broke the family into two as different relatives too great aunts side while others witnessed all of the horrible behavior.

He died in a car crash while drunk and my great aunt and rest of the family brag him up to no end. His ex gf (in front of his widow, gf current husband, and rest my the family) at a funeral was bragging up all the illegal stuff her and dead cousin did.

To the point where my dad side idolizes dead cousin is borderline scary as he was absolutely horrible to a lot of people.
