How about people make enough money to have a decent standard of living and not starve regardless of their job?

Just so everyone is aware, school salary's aren't created by the fed. Its done at the local level. I have family that work in shit schools and can never get into teaching at a good school. In all honesty because its a competitive industry. Neither of them are all that bright especially for as often as they like to show off their masters degree. Before i retired at 38, they would regurly shit talk me for working so hard 24/7. theyd complain all summer at the beach about how teacher dont make enough while I am working every fucking day. Degrees are a dime a dozen. Work ethic and intelligence is the real connector to your income. My HS English teacher made $65k and this was 15 years ago.

If you're making $30k as a teacher and not working the other 3 months a year, its entirely possible you aren't the best of the best.
