How has all of this affected you financially?

I hope that this isn't invalidating, because that isn't my intention. Reading your comment, I can only imagine that it must hurt deeply to not be able to give your kids those things that they deserve. But, they have a mom who loves them, and gets to be there with them as they grow up. Who gets to read them bedtime stories, and laugh at their jokes, and cheer them on when they accomplish something cool.

I think what I've learned about being a cancer survivor is that it pushes you into a different life than you wanted. It's a harder life, but there are still beautiful moments that come in the midst of all that tragedy and heartbreak. Reading your comment made me tear up a bit because all I could think of when I read it was how much it must mean to your kids to just get to have you in their lives as they grow up. That's worth so much, and is so precious.

Life is really super crazy, and really random stuff can happen. My hope for you is that somehow, your luck will turn and somehow you'll come into a huge pile of money and can do everything for your kids that you want to do. But until that happens (fingers crossed) it must mean the world to your kids that they get to give you a big hug everyday and hang out with their super cool mom.
