There’s lots of crazy people out there, so the sellers will back off if you’re just upfront about having money. It just looks like bait - too good to be true.

Ask them any questions you have about the car, and ask to meet in a public place (e.g. gas station, police station parking lot with cameras, etc.) so you can check out the car. It usually helps to let them know what clothes you’ll be wearing, and what car you’ll be using.

Bring someone with you if you can, and if they know a lot about cars that’s even better. You need a second opinion if you should walk away from the car, or come through.

Yeah, it sounds dumb in hindsight, but you’re both strangers to each other. Safety is key.
