How to do anything in a small town

Money is money is money. People who come from nothing still make it. People who come from everything sometimes don't. I've made good salary, I've also made minimum wage. With dependents. With nothing much given to me. Ever. Socioeconomic status is significant and can be a hindrance but so are excuses.

Traverse is to move about. Take it as you will. Last spring I visited friends in Boulder, round trip airfare $175. I ate their vegan food for ten days. Spent $50-100 on, well, Colorado. And came home maybe having spent $300-$350 on the entire trip. An Amtrak ticket across country is cheap. Bus tickets are even cheaper. Hotels can be had for less than $50. Friends of friends and relatives of relatives have couches. Churches have families. Cities have shelters. Bikes need two tires and brakes. Man, I just took a day trip on $15 in gas, $5 for a donut and coffee, and window watched for free. You do your thing, but don't say it can't be done. Others are even much more frugal than I. ...I think I have heard about round trip international flights for like $500 in some subreddits too. Good luck finding your way!
