How are the popular football players perceived on your campus?

Ignore the flair, I'm an A&M alumni. Proof. I know it's an old date, but I don't have access to my diploma to update it.

Anyway, I saw Johnny several times when I was at A&M, but two times it was more than just "oh there's Johnny over there."

One spring my buddy and I were at the Ranch on a Monday. Johnny and one of his friends came in. We were the only ones there because the Ranch was normally pretty dead during the week, especially early in the night. We were sitting upstairs in the middle window at the bar and they came and sat down next to us. I didn't even know it was Johnny until I did a double take when I looked to my right because he had his cap pulled down low. I said hey, shook his hand, and us four of plus the manager, Alex, watched TV for a bit. They stayed for probably 30 minutes and then left to go to Ceder. Alex comped us all a round of shots before they left. Seemed very chill and laid back that night.

A couple weeks later the same spring my buddy and I were at the Ranch again(we were regulars) on a Thursday and Johnny came in again. That night he was with 4 girls and 5 guys I think - one of which was also a player on the team, but I didn't recognize him. The bar was busier that night so they took a table by the rail. He and his crew were only there for a while, but he/they were in a more lively mood. During the short time he was there I saw several other customers take the opportunity to go take shots over to his group and do a shot with him.

Other than Johnny I met Spencer Nealy a couple times. One of those times he was really drunk, but still nice like when I met him sober.
