How is this area?

Been living there since a few months, and while I enjoy the relatively central location (for me it’s central, takes 20 min to get to grand place) and the fact that the midi station is literally 3 minutes away, which makes weekend trips or getting to the airport so so so easy, plus abundance of shops of all kinds (I’m Polish and there’s literally at least 3 Polish shops nearby Parvis, which means pierogi all the time), some really cool hip design shops, vintage clothing, nice pop up bars, there’s also a few downsides: - This neighbourhood is quite dirty. People throw their shit literally everywhere, and especially on a garbage night the street is just a huge mess. - Lots of weirdos around the Gare du Midi. You need to stay alert at all times, plenty of pickpockets, or just plain weirdos. Got robbed a few months ago, some dude just snatched my iPhone from my hands while I was walking home. - Quite noisy. There’s just always something going on there, some drama and people arguing, someone’s yelling at someone else in the street at night, quite a lot of traffic, and such.
