How Australia's NRA-inspired gun lobby is trying to chip away at gun control laws, state by state

Where is the bad stuff? Do you realise how strict it is to own guns, and be allowed to continue owning guns, and the strict limitations on hunting or firing them in Australia? You really think the goal is cart blanche gun ownership? Really?

This is a genuine interest, and sport we're talking about - and people wanting to actually reasonably and safely do their hobby. Instead the popular rhetoric seems to be that gun enthusiasts are inherently selfish, and stupid people, who don't care about gun safety as long as they've got theirs. It's ridiculous. And I'm guessing you've never stepped foot in a gun club and met the people there, or what they want - yet here you are with your strong, uninformed opinion.

Unless you can identify a specific area of proposed change that's negative - without just reverting to simply, "guns bad" - I'm inclined to think you have no idea what you're talking about.
