How do you avoid boredom when running?

I run in orchards and farming back roads with my dog most of the time so it nice and quiet, we often see coyotes, hawks, rabbit and a number of other animals, that helps keep me entertained.

I do like to listen to podcast as well, time flies by and often I do not want to stop if it is a good episode.

Sometimes I like to run alone with no audio, it is healthy to simply get lost in thoughts, have fake conversations in my head, or to really challenge my self with speed and distance goals.

As for suggestions, I would recommend podcast or audiobooks, going to new neighborhoods, new trails, places where other people are running (for motivation), or join a group. If you have a friend that is willing to run with you or willing to ride a bike while you run that can help as well.
