How beneficial is homework?

  1. Homework is not necessary for everyone. If you truly understand and remember the material without studying or doing homework, good for you! Most people need more practice to really understand things. You might not need homework to learn, but in general it's a necessary evil.

  2. The odds are high that, even as smart as you are, you will eventually study material that is too complex for you to learn without effort. When it happens, don't slack off. You probably have potential to do more good than the average person. With great power comes great responsibility.

  3. Since you have all this free time from not doing any homework, I suggest doing something you're not naturally good at. Failing is good for you, give it a try. After all, no one will pay you to go to school, so you might as well learn how to work hard at something now.

  4. As you'll see in this thread, people don't like braggarts. You know what kind of person gets everything they want out of life? People who are likable, hardworking, and intelligent, in that order. Plan accordingly.
