How is this better

The fact that nobody has explained how doubling the things that players have to keep track of makes a better combat system tells me what I initially thought. That this is a step backwards.

I never hated the TSW combat system...It was a means to and end, but it did get pretty repetitive. But show me an MMO who's combat isn't repetitive as far as PvE. The best thing about TSW was the PvP combat....where your PvE builds/rotations were garbage and you had to develop a completely new build and rotation. And you were free to configure your controls to suit your needs....being chained to the R/L mouse buttons is a HUGE dick-punch to the MMO PC crowd who relies on being able to customize his/her controls down to the last button.

But FFS....as much as I am scratching my head over the "better" combat system....the dumbing down may keep me from playing this game. The game loves to tell me "I think your too stupid to follow a trail of blood on the ground...so here are some glowing particle effects". And removing Signets and Augments makes the customization of your character about as deep as a large pothole..where TSWs customization was practically unlimited.

I'm at a loss. They said "Simpler is better for combat, so we're making it more complicated"...then they take the things that make MMO players want to invest years in a game and toss them out the window.
