How big are huntsman spiders actually?

Ok. But in all my life here, I've never seen one jump. I've heard about it from one person once, and that was second hand (it happened to her mum this one time). The story went that it didn't jump at her, it just jumped on the spot trying to make itself look more threatening.

My point is, being afraid of it jumping is like being afraid that a car will run you down the next time you cross the street. Yes it could happen, but statistically it's very unlikely.

Even then, my main point stands. Even when it jumps it's not likely to bite you. And even if it did, it's not dangerous at all.

I say all this as a bit of an arachnophobe myself. I'm not great with spiders myself, but saying you're nervous to visit just because of the chance of seeing one...
