Eh, not really, as far as I know, I don't think there's any evidence that our eyes distort the size of things without the object being positioned in a way that distorts our perspective. And even then, it's the interpretation that can be subjective (they look fat vs. they look skinny, etc.), but what the naked eye sees is absolutely objective and accurate minus an eye problem.

But lenses, mirrors, etc. aren't the same as eyes, they're just doing their best to imitate them. For example, we have to tell the camera what white is so it can determine what the rest of the colors are (white balance), and lenses can really have a problem with sunlight, glare and shadows, hence why professional shoots use lighting for uniform and creative purposes. That's where accuracy can vary wildly.
