How can anybody not hate the Tories?

So thats where you get a lot of working class votes that should traditionally vote Labour but won't because Labour is more about class representation, and forming workers into a single unified block.

I believe the biggest issue for working people that should, in their mind, vote Labour is because of immigration and the absurd amount of attention they give to minorities or LGBT people.

IMO working class people are not naturally conservative or believe in austerity and many just want to see a little more money put back into education, more doctors and nurses, lowering class sizes, improving infrastructure and reducing immigration. What we have now in Labour is completely opposed to this so they hold their nose to vote Tory.
