"How can marginalized people be racists?"

Maybe you don't use the word "transphobe" but it is undoubtedly true that if you are not trans you can never fundamentally understand the experience of being trans and that just another form of transphobia. We attach deep negative associations to these word, for good reason, but it be simultaneously true that a person can do all that they can do understand and be compassionate but fall short. This is true for racism as well. This of course sets aside the unrelenting propaganda that our society puts out. A cis person will always have misconceptions about what it means to be trans, hell trans people will have those. We might not call this person a transphobe but it again another kind of subconscious transphobia. This is still true when we discuss race. Denying the fact that this broadcasting will have some form of affect on your is ridiculous. I think we understand that the human mind is shaped in large part by the environment that we are raised in, and that the moment that environment is a racist one. If you cannot see the lasting effects this environment has on you take a closer look.
