Thanks a lot for the advice and nice response. They have a 48 hour policy on returning emails, so once that time is up I will reach out to the head and ask how they think I should proceed.

Given some of my previous interactions with this professor, I had reached out to one of the campus librarians to help me review some of my articles to determine if they are considered scholarly. And she had determined that they were and I kept the transcripts of those discussions if the professor wanted to dispute those. Unfortunately I figured the government publications were obvious, so I didn't ask about those. lol
