How do you clean your hands without water?

You're very welcome. Plenty of places for you to use for them sure it sounds like! :) Not only to disinfect but for cuts, scrapes muscle soreness/fatigue as well while out hiking.

  1. I always use the 70% alcohol, I buy the jumbo bottles from Walmart for $2 and change (it's apparently more potent than the 90% explained in some science I never researched too deeply tbh) those are my ratios depending on the batch you are making. So if you were to use say 220 baby wipes and split in half (or not, I only do so to put them in convenient containers), it would be approximately 1 and a ¼ of alcohol or 310ml, then roughly 60ml water (apologies, I corrected it and see where I may have confused you, I meant to say 20% water) and 45 ml aloe (I measured initially but now I eyeball it after many, many batches).

  2. I make larger batches and Tupperware or even dollar store containers keep them well for quite some time without issue if they're airtight, on average I make a new one about every 6 months now. If I feel the need, I just add a few more cap fulls of alcohol, I've even washed my hands with straight alcohol many times so I wouldn't worry about going overboard, the extra things added is more for comfort since I use them almost daily and don't want to dry out my skin. (The Wet Ones containers I go through quickly, they're not sealed but they still last a good while too, I replace the one in my car about every 3 months.) Also I have completely forgotten about some I have in a ziploc bag in my purse and one in particular was in luggage, I forgot about it for a year or more, I anticipated they would be dried up or at least not as moist anymore, but nope they were like I had just put them in.

So really, if sealed, they'll last you for sure, whether a week long festival, a weekend camping trip or 6+ months under the sink. I find them really cost effective and I much prefer as natural as possible, things without all sorts of unnecessary additives.
