I don’t have advice about closing the distance vs following career. I think that’s a personal decision that only you can answer. If it were me, after living through my long distance experiences, it would be a choice between closing the distance and breaking up - long distance would not be on the table. But the choice is yours, and I don’t think you should be pressured against closing the distance or following your career if that is what you choose to do.

But I may be able to give advice re biology career since that is the field I am in :) . It’s a big field -What kind of biology career are you interested? Are you thinking grad school or try to jump into a job straight away? Don’t feel compelled to answer any of these questions obviously ..but feel free to respond or reach out if you want to talk.
