How common are incompetent inspectors?

Licensed Builder here. I literally just left a house with two 2nd story floating bathrooms on the second floor with the entire side of the house floors looking like an ocean wave. The homeowner recently bought the house, and I asked, did you get a home inspection? He said yes. I sked for the report. There are some slippery slopes with what an inspector is responsible for, but from just eyesight I scrambled around the house immediately. Do not trust your home inspector. In all honesty. Yeah get 3 bids on work etc. etc. But when you find a regular contractor that you do repeat business with ask them. They will always be honest and have a keen eye. I want all of my regular clients to succeed. I am not the big contractor and do not want to get rich. Just make a living with a few regular customers and new business here and there. Find that contractor. Ask your friends.
