How do you connect a shoulder rig with rails and a basepate to tripod and shoulder rig/pad mounting hardware?

I feel you AKS gets overwhelming pretty quickly.

I'm having trouble finding a GH5 cage (probably because it's new) but it looks like there are a few that are about to be released. So assuming you have a camera cage and you are using Manfrotto dovetail plates (like this http://www.smallrig.com/Manfrotto-Standard-Quick-Dovetail9-1460.html) you can create a shoulder rig that can quickly be mounted to manfrotto tripods from these parts:

This is nearly as cheap as it can get with a shoulder rig, it would put the camera body centered on you shoulder with the rest extending forward.

Let me know if my assumptions about manfrotto were wrong, it'd be easy to modify it to any existing support you already have. Also I have a pair of 8" aluminum 15mm rods that I can give you, they would help with any rig you decide to go with.
