How do you control your spending habits in Germany?

Busy people with busy lives don’t remember a random coffee shop they went to two weeks ago :) what if I bought a souvenir from the Heidelberg Altstadt around the same time, of around the same value? How am I supposed to know, if I want to properly budget and know what I spend my money on, where my money is going if stupid bank systems are unable to properly tell me?

I have card in 3 other countries — this is the only place where I have trouble remembering what the hell I spent money on 2 weeks ago. Which shouldn’t be allowed to happen.

I understand that it’s hard to accept you live in a broken system. But people’s experiences are different and maybe one should learn from differing experiences.
