How do I cope with the fact that my depression doesn't come from self hatred or hatred of life, but rather, hatred of the society I'm forced to live in?

There's a modern therapy approach that has a lot in common with stoicism, and you might find it interesting to check out some of the books written from that perspective. It's called acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT, pronounced like the word "act"). Russ Harris has written some great self-help-style books from this perspective. The Reality Slap is one that I think would be particularly helpful for you. It's written for people who are dealing with difficult personal situations, but I think it would apply to you as well, since it's about becoming more able to live your life in a way that makes you generally happy and fulfilled when the circumstances you're living in aren't ideal.
