How do I get a copy of my incident report??

I might be of a small amount of help here. My dad was an attorney for 35 years by proxy I learned some from him. My degree has required me to take some OSHA safety classes, working on picking up a business law minor.

I'm not going to say I'm any kinda of expert here. Far from it, nor am I an attorney. I'm from the United States too so not sure how Canadian law works really.

Anyway most attorneys in most places want to help. There are a lot of small firms out there dedicated to helping individuals like you. Ask around to your friends or any business acquaintances. See if they have any attorneys they know and like. Do some research online too and look around for a small firm list for whatever province you're in. Find an attorney on par with what you seem to want to do. You're going to want to look for someone who does workers comp and preferably not someone who's a big flashy TV name who wants to rack up a huge bill via a long drawn out law suit. Find someone who's on board with what you personally want from all this.

Secondly most attorneys offer/give free constellation. Meaning basically you can go to them say "I have X, y, z problem(s)? Is there anything on the legal front you can help me with or do I have a case?"

They'll spell out the possibilities of what they can do for you, or if they can even do anything.

Once you actually start having them put man hours behind taking those steps will they actually start billing you. How they bill you is dependent from law firm to law firm. Some take percentages of settlements, some bill by the hour, some have quasi billing practices split between a lot of different things and possibilities.

Lastly don't be afraid to ask question, how they'll bill you, ect. If they are good they'll be happy to offer it up and it will help you make an informed choice on who you want to represent you or what plan of action you should take.

Even knowing you don't want a law suit an attorney is probably the best course of action. They'll ensure you get the best benefits possible and they'll but a stop to any fishy shit your employer is doing to withhold and incident or accident reports.
