How corrupt is our local government?

St.george and washington politicians see only one thing and that is how much money they can make through tourism and development not just for the city but themselves, colleagues, the "good ole boys" who owned land for generations etc... A good example is several years ago the department of transportantion owned a huge strip of land from springville/zion down the highway to the next town, it was sold to a developer quietly, who immediatley blocked off access to all the public lands behind it, and is building your typical private subdivision, that strip of land should have stayed as state property and guaranteed access to the public lands if sold, now in 15 years when they need to improve and expand infrastructure there they wont have land to do that with, but a few beaurocrats were able to make a quick buck
