I don't know if it's answers your question or not, but honestly I never thought about it. It's like with my sister. I got this question quite a few times: "would you date her if she wasn't your sister?". First of all it's a weird thing to ask. I know it would be morally wrong so I never even considered it. But if she wasn't, who knows, she's cool. Never thought about it, so I would say it's purely platonic.

I wouldn't think about this if he was a guy. I believe it's more socially acceptable if a guy relies on a guy, or a girl relies on a girl, but girls relying on guys raises questions in peoples head. That's how society works I guess, at least in our country. I'm just used to overthinking things, that's it.
