How dangerous is it to fall from 10ft?

This is dangerous logic. I’ve seen bad landings on gym pads, and I’m sure you have too. Gym bouldering is not 100% safe, it just takes a bad landing and you can sprain an ankle, break your nose on your knee, bust a finger, etc.

Damn, I've never seen or heard of someone getting injured from falling at my gym, and I've been going there almost every day for years. In hindsight, it probably depends on the gym because my gym has a giant cushy floor which you can fall head-first on and have no pain. I heard from one of my friends that once their belayer's atc broke after they got to the top of the lead wall, so they fell 40 ft straight into the ground, but the ground was cushioned enough for them to not have a serious injury... This friend told me that there was little danger even taking a ground fall on lead because the ground was so cushioned... my bad
