How to deal with all the Homeless people?

Homeless problem is not solved in SLC, not to mention that comparing SLC with Seattle is a stretch due to climate. Look at every major city, it's a continual problem, go to Portland, LA, San Diego... it's just in your face right now.

Take lunch to some homeless people near your neighborhood and talk to them. I did that to better understand how the problem could be fixed -- EG where to donate to, who to vote for, where to volunteer. In my experience, they had severe issues that a "home" would not fix.

I worked fast food when I was younger and I could not manage them in fast food, they could not work retail, they could not work. The "solution" for those that are able to/want to accept help would IMO be institutionalized care. That means a lot of property, probably outside of the city... finding a city that would accept it being built, but some would still not want to go.
