I had this happen to me while I was working abroad. The contract I signed was basically worthless and I was being forced to work outside of my duties and hours out of fear of being deported without pay. What did I do? Sucked it up, smiled and played naive for long enough to be able to pay for a ticket back home (almost 2k which was more than 2 months pay). Packed my entire apartment up on a Wednesday after work, got on a bus for 4 hours in the middle of the night to the nearest airport, and got my ass back home on a 18 hour flight. You have to learn your worth and figure out if you’re really in dire need to keep that job or if you can suck it up while you look for something else. Stop making excuses and just make up your mind.
