Man, I remember going for my first cold weather run when I was a teenager with a girl I was interested in (and for the sake of this story, she was interested in me). 3 minutes into the run she does her first snot rocket, the first of many. I had never done one at that point, but I lost all interest in her. Apparently teenage me was very prudish. Years later I dumped a girl for “not holding her liquor” but in retrospect, she had probably been slipped something at the bar (she had only had like 3 drinks). In fairness, I had never even heard of ruffies and similar date rapey drugs, so I didn’t even know that was a possible reason for her to be stumbling as she did. Yeah, I was a judgmental ass. I hope I’m still not that way. I would never judge someone now for doing snot rockets, but I still don’t understand how my wife can do them cleanly without having to turn and tilt her head.
