How do you decide between audiobooks and traditional books?

I went from reading exclusively to switching almost entirely to audiobooks over the past 10 years. I was living abroad and my selection of traditional books in English was rather limited. So I was reading ebooks on my laptop (pre-kindle/smartphone days), which lead to my eyes getting really tired from this. It was around this time that I discovered audiobooks (insert here fond memories of being a kid and being read to) and I was converted.

Nowadays, it's a matter of convenience. I can listen to audiobooks while I cook or do chores around the house, I can listen while I go for walks, I can listen in bed (helps me fall asleep faster). And I have the rest of my free time to do other things.
