This would be a bit long, My girlfriend is alergic to Almonds, only I was the one to find this out somehow!

She used to get really bad eye swelling couple of times a year, doctors would ask her to take phosphorus or some other meds. She would not come to college for atleast 3-4 days.

I started asking her on what she ate and what she did before it happens, then did some research and found out even traces of almond can be really alergic to some people. Since it's very common for her family to take almond milk at night they never realised it could be due to the milk/almond. When I asked how does this happen only few times and nkt everytime since she used to drink milk daily at her house she said she never really drinks it since she does not like milk, she usually drains it in washroom or puts it back in the refrigerator when her parents are not watching but the parents never knew this so they never thought it could be a problem! She wasn't telling this to doctors as the parents would know she has been lying all times, she also did not think it could be due to Almonds.

I asked her to stop eating/ drinking anything with almonds to confirm my doubt, it was very difficult and since then she has never got those swellings in her eyes.

So I beleive you should always be careful about any side effects you get after eating/drinking/touching/smelling/applying anything as it could be a mild to severe allergy.
